Many of Peter Hill’s photographs can be bought as prints. Those that cannot be bought are sold-out Limited Editions.
Many of Peter’s photographs do not conform to standard sizes. This is due to the unique camera lenses he uses. This means that all sizes are bespoke. If you wish to purchase any print, think of the place you wish to hang it after being framed, measure that space – ideally the width you need – and then contact Peter for a quote at firstname.lastname@example.org
As a general guide, a 30cm x 21cm (A4) print will be priced between AUD 150 and AUD 250.
All of Peter’s photographs are printed on high-quality archival paper. Framed and hung withcare, they will last a lifetime and more.
Which paper is used depends entirely on the photograph you choose to buy.
For example, if you wish to purchase a black & white photograph, it will normally be printed on Ilford’s Galerie Gold Mono Silk paper – at 270gsm – creating a seamless transition and contrast between shadows and highlight areas, delivering deep, rich blacks and bright whites.
If the desired photograph is colour, it will usually be printed on Hahnemühle’s Photo Rag paper – at 308gsm – a white, 100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture which meets archival standards and the industry’s highest standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.
At this point in time, Peter can only offer framed prints to customers in the Sydney region (free delivery). For framing, Peter uses Hope Tree Gallery, Leura, and will provide a quote before hand which will be based on the preferred print size and dimensions. For all his framed prints, Peter uses Tru Vu non-reflective glass with a high UV rating, which is of museum quality without the museum glass price tag. Non-reflective glass is essential for bright colours and blacks. The high UV rating is essential for preserving the tones, and the photograph itself, from sunlight.
